Jessie J reveals Whitney Houston inspiration: 'No other artist made me feel the way she did'

British superstar Jessie J has revealed that she always looks to the late Whitney Houston for inspiration when she's singing.

During her concert at London's Eventim Apollo last night (January 29), the 'Domino' sensation paid tribute to Houston and confessed that no one has ever moved her in the same way: "No other artist made me feel like she did. I sang this song on my first audition ever. This is to remind myself that I can sing."

Jessie J, meanwhile, recently opened up about her BRITs snub and told Britain's The Mirror newspaper that she was 'gutted' to learn she hadn't been nominated in any of the categories for this year's awards ceremony: "I was gutted. I would be lying if I said I wasn't. It would be nice if they celebrated people who come out of the BRIT School and become British pop stars."

She added: "It is a matter of opinion and choice. I always say, 'You can't always be on top'. It's not my choice, I can't make people nominate me."
