Essex born singer/songwriter Jessie J had to cancel her biggest show to date last night as she was admitted to hospital with a severe virus.

Tweeting on December 6, the ‘Do It Like A Dude’ vocal powerhouse wrote:

“I'm in the list for BBC Sound of 2011!!! Amazing! Now this head cold thing needs to back owff!! Long day today and Scala tomorrow!! :)”

Last night, December 7, she told her fans of the news:

“I'm so sorry guys. I'm also gutted that tonight Is cancelled. I am very weak and in hospital resting. But I promise when its re booked it will be the best show you've ever seen :) Thank you for all your msg's. Means a lot xx”
