Jessie J makes live comeback at V Festival

British pop star Jessie J broke her concert hiatus on Saturday (August 20) to perform a homecoming show at V Festival in her native Essex, England.

The singer cancelled a number of concerts this summer after breaking her foot, but she refused to let the injury stop her performing at the British music festival, which takes place over two days in Stafford, north England and Chelmsford in Essex.

Jessie J, who grew up in the region, took to the stage at the Chelmsford event on Saturday wearing a protective surgical boot and played to a crowd which included a number of her friends and family.

She told the audience,"This is my first ever gig in Essex," before later adding, "My whole family is here".

The singer played her set sitting down on a chair, standing occasionally and reclining on a sofa to perform her hit, 'Do It Like A Dude'.

The opening day also saw performances from acts including hip-hop stars Tinie Tempah and Dizzee Rascal, as well as Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight and Kaiser Chiefs.
