Jessie J on her sexuality: 'My family never made me feel embarrassed'

Jessie J recently sat down for an in-depth interview with America's edition of Glamour magazine and opened up about how her upbringing taught her not to be embarrassed about her sexuality.

The singer has previously revealed that she is bisexual and explained to the magazine that her supportive family life has shown her that acceptance and love is something that should come naturally to people:

"You know what it is – I have such an amazing mum and dad who have been married for 32 years, and my sisters always made me feel like I was amazing. No one ever tried to suppress who I wanted to be. I never got embarrassed."

She also admitted that while she is currently unattached, she feels that sexuality "shouldn't define you" and thinks its important to stand up for your beliefs:

"I've never tried to make my sexuality something that's going to put me in newspapers or magazines,' she admitted. 'Sexuality shouldn't define you, it should be part of who you are. At the moment I'm single, happy and learning about myself. Music is the love of my life right now."
