Jessie J on the power of fame: 'I don't surround myself with yes men'

'Domino' songstress Jessie J has admitted that touring and being a pop star sometimes begins to cloud her vision so she surrounds herself with people who aren't afraid to bring her back down to reality.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Jessie J explained that constant praise and adoration starts to get to her after a while and so it's important to remain grounded:

"You live in a bubble when you are travelling, touring and in the studio or on stage. You wake up and don't know what country you are in and you have people around you saying: 'You are amazing' and 'let me do this or that' and you completely lose yourself."

"It is going to affect you, even if you don't want it to. You have to be careful that you don't surround yourself with yes men. I need people who say 'You are being an idiot today, shut up'."

The hitmaker is currently working as a vocal coach on The Voice and is set to return to the studio to begin recording her sophomore album.
