Jessie J didn't expect to be so successful

Vocal powerhouse and The Voice panelist Jessie J has opened up about the incredible career she's had so far and revealed that she didn't expect to be so well-received.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, the 'Laserlight' songstress explained that she genuinely didn't think her music would enjoy such success, but she is so grateful for the support of her amazing fans:

"I didn't ever, ever think I'd have 7 singles, I kind of thought 3 and then we'd end it!"

When asked about her current role on The Voice UK, Jessie J admitted that it's definitely been an eye-opening experience although she wishes the press would focus on the positive side of the programme instead of always putting an unpleasant spin on stories:

"It's been really good, it's been a massive learning curve. One album out and I'm stting next to Sir Tom Jobes, Will.i.Am and Danny!"

"It irritates me because every interview I've done in the last week has been about the negative instead of the positive press. I'd like to hope to think I've brought to the table that it's important to be constructive and honest, but you know what... papers write crap all the time."
