Jessie J on her style: 'I ended up looking like a transvestite, I want to be able to grow'

Vocal sensation Jessie J has admitted that while her success is incredible and she has enjoyed creating an image for herself, she hopes that her fame will allow her to grow and change.

Speaking to Grazia magazine, the 'Domino' hitmaker explained that she doesn't want to stick to the same style or trademark sharp-fringed hairstyle and wants to be able to experiment with her look:

"I started to look like a cartoon character. I ended up looking like a transvestite. I want to change my hair, change my style. I want to be allowed to grow."

She also opened up about being asked to perform at the Gary Barlow-organised Diamond Jubilee Concert next Monday (June 4) and said it was a great honour as a British artist:

"When I got the letter asking me to perform, I felt really proud. It’s a proper letter from the Queen’s secretary. I’m keeping it in a memory book. It’s written on this lovely thick notepaper. I keep feeling it."
