Jessie J has confirmed that Adele has given birth to her first child.

It was reported over the weekend that the vocal star has had her first child with partner Simon Konecki.

It is said she gave birth to a baby boy "last week" as Adele settles into life as a new mother.

Jessie J, who is friends with the 'Rolling In The Deep' singer, tweeted yesterday (October 21) a message of congratulations to Adele, saying:

"Congratulations @OfficialAdele on your baby boy!! Amazing ♥."

Adele confirmed news of her pregnancy earlier this year on her official website, adding that she and Konecki were "delighted". She said at the time:

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."
