Jessie J on image change: 'I used to look like someone else's dream and not my own'

Vocal powerhouse and 'The Voice' coach Jessie J has admitted to feeling "like a cartoon character" at the beginning of her music career.

Speaking to the Daily Star about her evolving style, the 'Price Tag' superstar explained that she didn't have a lot of control over her appearance when she started out so is glad to finally feel more like herself with her new shaved hairstyle:

"When you first start out a lot of people control what you do. I felt I was becoming a cartoon character. I always had my own style, I've always known what I want to look like whether I've got short or long hair, but I was visually looking like someone else's dream and not my own. Now I always do what I wanna do, but it's a lot of work."

Jessie J added: "It's pressure to always look good in this industry, and always be on trend, but I think I look like myself."
