Jessie J denies being a 'diva' on The Voice

Jessie J has dismissed reports that she acted like a diva on The Voice.

The singer was a coach on the BBC TV talent show for two series before leaving earlier this year.

It was often reported in some sections of the media that the 'Domino' star was stroppy and often arrived late to the set.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4, Jessie J said the 'diva' tag came purely from the fact that she was female, with the show's male judges not receiving the same treatment. She said:

"The diva thing [routinely turning up late to film] on the show made me laugh, because [which female presenter] hasn't had it? I spoke to Tulisa about it and Kelly Rowland and Nicole Scherzinger, I know all of them. They all had the same thing."

The singer added: "No-one spoke about Danny, Will or Tom when they were late – but we were all late – some days. Like we all are for work sometimes. But it's just one of those things - it is what it is."
