Jessie J moving to US in bid to crack America

Jessie J has revealed plans to move to America next year in an effort to break into the country's market.

The US scene has notoriously been difficult for UK acts to master over the years, but recently acts such as One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Ed Sheeran have achieved big success.

Speaking to the Mirror, the 'It's My Party' star reckons she needs to move out to America permanently in 2014 to have the maximum chances of cracking the States. She said:

"The US is such a big market to break. It’s such a different thing out there. I don’t like doing anything half-heartedly, so I don’t wanna do the US until I can be there - so I’m gonna live there next year."

Jessie J confirmed that her new record 'Alive' isn't due to be released in the US, but she added that a single could land before she tours with Robin Thicke in early spring. The singer added:

She added: “At the moment, the American label aren’t putting the album out in the US. But I’m hoping to have a single out there by January."
