JLS confirm 2012 Sport Relief single

Earlier this week, popular boyband JLS teased fans with the promise of some exciting news and this morning (January 19) they made an official announcement.

Speaking live on Radio 1, the lads confirmed that they have this year's official single for the fantastic Sport Relief charity and it's called 'Proud'. Marvin Humes explained to BBC's Newsbeat:

"We are gonna have the official single for Sport Relief. It's called 'Proud' and it comes out on March 18. We're really excited, you know? The boys and I we went to Uganda in October and we spent a week with some fantastic people and all of the money raised from the sales of the single are going to help people around the world."

Aston added that 2012 is also such a great year to get involved with the charity because the Olympic Games will be held in London so sport will be a major talking point: "It seemed right to get involved with Sport Relief. It was a perfect fit, I don't think any other year would have been right."
