JLS channelling "90s R&B" on new album

JLS have revealed that they are channelling the likes of 90s R&B on their forthcoming new album.

The boyband have been in America recently to record some new material for what will be the follow up to 2011's 'Jukebox'.

JLS's Oritse Williams told the Daily Star that the sessions have been producing a lot of "throwback 90s new jack swing/R&B" - and that they are pushing the boundaries. He said:

"We've been in America working with new producers and writers - new to us but not new to the scene, like Rodney Jerkins. We're making a lot of throwback 90s new jack swing/R&B-influenced music. We're furthering our sound in that way. We also worked with Babyface, which was a dream come true, and a guy called Bangladesh, who has done a lot of incredible hip-hop tracks. It's always good to push boundaries. That's been exciting."
