JLS singer JB Gill has revealed plans to turn his country retreat into a deer farm.

The star has previously spoken of his desire to convert his country house in Kent into an agricultural haven, purchasing a tractor in preparation.

Speaking to The Sun, Gill said that after a bit of research, he is thinking of running a deer farm on the land. He said:

"I've decided I'm going to have a deer farm. I've been doing my research and there's certain times in the year when it's best to buy them. I'm going to have a few females and one stag. Not only are they beautiful to look at, I'd like them to reproduce."

He's not going to stop at stags, however, with chickens, eggs, apples and jam all on the radar too. He added:

"I get out on it whenever I can. I'm going to need more help eventually but I want to do a lot myself. I've already got chickens so eggs are sorted. And the orchard has apple and cherry trees. Oh and there are really good plums too so I can make some jam."
