JLS proud of boyband reign

JLS are proud they are "ambassadors" of the new wave of boybands.

The popular British group - comprising of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams and J.B. Gill - catapulted to fame after reaching second place in The X Factor 2008 final.

They have since scored a string of chart-topping hits including 'Love You More' and 'She Makes Me Wanna', and the foursome admit that they're proud of their success in the music industry.

Speaking to Entertainmentwise, Humes admitted: “We're the first boyband in recent times," before Gill added: “We're very proud to be ambassadors and having brought back the new wave of boybands.”

JLS recently scooped their fifth MOBO Award for Best Video for single 'Do You Feel What I Feel?' and are currently enjoying success with the lead single from their new studio album, 'Hottest Girl in the World'.

The cheeky charmers revealed who they think are the most attractive women in the world - but were quick to confirm that their own ladies come first.

While Williams claimed to admire the curves and sass of Nicki Minaj, Gill revealed he would choose Hollywood beauty Charlize Theron.

Merrygold named Mila Kunis, while Humes chose singing sensation Beyoncé.
