JLS singer Aston Merrygold on hating HD TV: 'I can see every mark on my face'

Dancer and JLS hitmaker Aston Merrygold has admitted that he hates watching himself back on high definition television screens because they are unforgiving.

During an interview with The Sun newspaper, the new 'Got To Dance' judge, confessed that the clarity of the picture shows up every imperfection and he doesn't enjoy that at all:

"You can see every little mark on your face and you think, 'Oh god'. I never realised how clear HD was until now."

He also revealed that dealing with emotional fans can be a struggle, especially when girls cry, as it's hard to watch knowing he can't personally comfort them all:

"There has been a little bit of love from the girls from time to time, but it isn't a bad thing. That's all part of the fun. People do seem to get teary when they meet me. I'm not good when it comes to crying - it's a hard thing to watch."
