JLS singer Marvin Humes has been named as the new presenter of Capital FM's Big Top 40 Countdown, which will air every Sunday from 4pm to 7pm in 2014. 

In a statement, the heartthrob revealed his excitement at landing the lucrative role and explained that it's a big honour especially as an artist whose music was regularly included in the chart: 

"I'm over the moon to be a part of the exciting 2014 lineup on Capital."

"What an amazing opportunity. I remember being on The Big Top 40 as an artist and to now be presenting the show is a dream come true."

He will also present the weekday evening show on 95-106 Capital FM, which will be broadcast on the station between Monday and Thursday from 7pm to 10pm. Humes' boyband, JLS, are currently on their farewell tour, which is due to wrap up on December 22 with a show at London's O2 Arena.
