Jedward are set to make their acting debut in the follow up to this year’s cult made-for-television movie 'Sharknado'.

Actress Tara Reid, who stars in 'Sharknado', took to Twitter to reveal the news.

Reid told her followers: “So excited John and Edward @planetjedward will be making there first movie debut in #sharknado 2.”

She also revealed that the Irish twins will be involved with the film’s soundtrack.

Jedward, made up of brothers John and Edward Grimes, became friends with 'American Pie' star Tara Reid after they all appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together in 2011.

Jedward recently visited Tara Reid during a trip to France.
