New Jonas Brothers single, 'First Time,' leaks

The new Jonas Brothers single, 'First Time' has today leaked online.

Something of a departure from their previous sound, the soaring synth-pop track was one of several new compositions the former Disney trio played on their brief reunion tour last year.

It’s the second taster of new material from the band since they returned from their three-year hiatus, following the release of ‘Pom Poms’ back in April.

‘First Time’ is taken from the long-awaited follow-up to 2009’s ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times,’ which is scheduled for release later this year.

Kevin Jonas spills on his group's new material: 'Frank Ocean influenced us'

Jonas Brothers member Kevin has opened up about the group's forthcoming new album and revealed that they were inspired by several contemporary artists' sounds.

Speaking to Digital Spy, he explained that Frank Ocean was a big influence on them this time around: "Yeah, definitely Frank Ocean was an influence. There were so many people that influenced this next album, just more the direction and the tone. We took our time. We all did individual things for a very long time, and we needed to."

He also admitted that fans will be able to tell the boys have grown up and are older with the new record as the content is more mature: "Yeah, oh definitely. We're all in our 20s and I'm 25 and married. The content is different than it was before. We're not talking about simple little things anymore, we're talking about actual things in life that matter. And I think that people have grown with us as well."

"Our fans that were 16, 18 are now also in their 20s and so they're dealing with real life issues and starting to have real relationships and families and things like that. It's definitely pretty intense and really cool to see."

Kevin Jonas (pictured below with wife Danielle) even revealed that he recently met some of the One Direction heartthrobs, adding: "One Direction's great - I just met Harry a couple of days ago actually, and he's just super nice. I'm just happy that music and pop is coming back."

Jonas Brothers member Kevin has admitted that he gets so into his music when he's working that he often wakes his wife, Danielle, at strange hours to play it to her.

During an interview with People magazine, the 'Pom Poms' hitmaker explained that he shares his thoughts with her even at 4am when she's in bed asleep:

"I play the music for her constantly when we're writing the album and especially at midnight when we're in that mindframe and it doesn't just end in the studio."

"I'm bringing it home and I'm like, taking her out of bed at 4am to come listen to a song and I get so excited about it and I want to share that with her."

Kevin, who stars with his wife on the show 'Married to Jonas', added that he uses his relationship with her for inspiration and always thinks about her when writing lyrics:

"Anytime I'm in the studio I use her and the moments that we've experienced as the things I'm writing about with my brothers. Even if they're thinking about something completely different, I'm putting myself into a situation that I've been through with her that can relate."

Jonas Brothers: 'Sofia Vergara was our inspiration for 'Pom Poms''

Pop-rock trio the Jonas Brothers have revealed that the inspiration behind their new single, 'Pom Poms', was 'Modern Family' actress Sofia Vergara.

During a recent interview the stars were asked if they had a certain person in mind when writing the track, which includes the lyrics "I want you on my team/Want you like kid just wants a milkshake/And I won’t let it go to waste if I get a taste/I’m gonna drink the whole thing", and Joe Jonas joked: "Probably Sofia Vergara."

His brother, Nick, added: "That's a good one. I think we'll go with that for now."

Referring to the general direction of their new album, the hitmakers confessed that the songs were taking a turn towards dark themes but 'Pom Poms' turned out differently so they decided to make it the lead single:

"We had a lot of songs that were bit darker in tone and we needed a brighter song and something that was really fun and this song just kind of happened. It as toward the end. From the minute we finished it, we felt it was the right song to lead with."

Joe Jonas invites fan on a date live on air

Singer Joe Jonas surprised a fan earlier today by inviting her to attend one of his upcoming concerts as a special guest.

Shaina, a Pepperdine University student, recently made a video in which she asked the Jonas Brothers hitmaker to go with her to her college's formal dance. Unfortunately, Joe explained that he wasn't able to attend but made his own video with another proposition for her.

The clip, which is around 2 minutes long, sees Joe in a variety of entertaining set-up scenes asking Shaina if she would like to be flown out to Chicago to be his guest of honour instead.

On top of that, Shaina was interviewed by the 'Today Show' earlier today (April 11) and Joe surprised her in person by wearing a disguise and long wig (pictured above left) at the Rockefeller Plaza.

Nick Jonas is "happy" for Miley Cyrus and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

The singer addressed rumours he had met up with his ex-girlfriend for lunch in California recently.

Jonas - who broke up with the star back in 2007 - was perplexed by the untrue reports.

In an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest, the star explained: “I read it online actually and I was like, ‘Oh, this is interesting that I met up with her cause I’m at the studio.’ I didn’t meet up with her but we’re friendly we have a good relationship. I’m happy for her and Liam.

He added: “I think it’s one of those things there’s a lot of people that look like me I guess in that particular town so maybe they’re running around with Miley.”

Jonas also revealed that rumours about his romantic life are hard to deal with at times.

He continued: "It bothers me…I’m a pretty private person and the things I give away, I give away in music so it’s tough.”

'On Air with Ryan Seacrest' reports that the band have already filmed the music video for the track in New Orleans "complete with the cheerleading squads from the Saints and Hornets as well as the marching band for Southern University."

He explained: "We wanted to take a little extra time on it to make sure it was right, and we've been working for almost a year now on it and it's time and now we're back on the road."

At the end of last year, Nick revealed what fans can expect from the trio's new music.

He said: "The vibe right now that we're trying to create, we've kind of had a really memorable and a career we're really thankful for up until this time, [and now we're] hoping to create an experience for our fans that is really personal and shows a little bit deeper look into what our lives have been like, as far as lyrics. But, musically we're trying to push ourselves and continue to grow and get better.

He added: "We're talking about some really real subjects and things that are meaningful to us both in the present time, in the past, and it's just now out there for people to hear."

Back in October, the 'Wedding Bells' stars confessed that working together so closely again has brought a bit of tension to their dynamic as brothers, but they're all very strong-minded and like to get their own points across:

"No physical altercations, but yeah, you have to disagree to get what you want - disagree to agree. It works out because we have a voting system. Then we go to our management team if it doesn't work. If you feel strongly about something, I think it's always important to stick by it."

Following their sold out one-off New York concert, the Jonas Brothers have now announced a new set of dates that will take place next month in Los Angeles, California.

They are confirmed to perform on both November 27 and 28 at LA's historic Pantages Theatre, and the band issued a statement on the exciting news in which they expressed their gratitude for fans' continued enthusiasm about their music:

"We were completely humbled and blown away by the fan response when we announced our New York show. The energy at Radio City was so incredible; we just couldn't wait to do another U.S. show. We are thrilled that we'll be able to share that same excitement in Los Angeles!"

Earlier this month, the pop-rockers explained that the new material they've been working on will hopefully give listeners a more in-depth insight into their lives:

"The vibe right now that we're trying to create, we've kind of [had] a really memorable career we're really thankful for up until this time, [and now we're] hoping to create an experience for our fans that is really personal and shows a little bit deeper look into what our lives have been like, as far as lyrics. But, musically we're trying to push ourselves and continue to grow and get better."

Jonas Brothers admit that 'Wedding Bells' is about Miley Cyrus

Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas has admitted that his band's newly debuted song 'Wedding Bells' is about his previous relationship with Miley Cyrus.

The 'Hannah Montana' actress and singer recently told radio host Ryan Seacrest that after hearing the track, she believed it was written about the love they shared when they used to date and how things have changed, and Jonas has now confirmed her suspicions.

Speaking on the KIIS FM show, member Kevin Jonas explained that his brother's romance with Cyrus was the inspiration for the song: "I think she [Cyrus] put it well. She's absolutely right. It's just about being open and honest."

Joe Jonas added: "Yeah, everything is great. I'm really happy for her continuing success. She's awesome."
