Justin Bieber: 'I'm a softie and that's how my mother raised me'

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber has addressed his behaviour over the past few years and confessed that he's truly sorry for his attitude and for some of the things he has done.

In a video update shared by the heartthrob this week, he explains that it's incredibly challenging to grow up in the spotlight and it causes people to lash out, which is something he ended up doing:

"Being young and growing up in this business is hard. I felt people were judging me and I really want people to know how much I care, how much I care about people, and how I’m not that person to say ‘I don’t give a f***,’ you know? I’m not that kid."

Bieber went onto add that his mother (pictured with him above left) raised him to be emotionally responsive and understanding, and he explained that he wants to now embrace this side of his personality:

"I’m a person who genuinely cares and although what’s happened in the past has happened, I just want to make the best impression on people and be kind and loving and gentle and soft and although people can call me a ‘softy,’ that’s how my mom raised me.”
