Justin Bieber on new maturity: 'I aspire to be a class act'

Justin Bieber has commented on his seeming new-found maturity.

The singer enjoyed a tough 2014 after being arrested for DUI and getting charged with vandalism after egging a neighbour.

However, the Canadian then spent much of the year out of the spotlight to work in the studio.

Speaking in the April issue of Men's Health, Bieber said that he is a changed man following the last 12 months.

The 21-year-old said: "I do aspire to be a class act.

"This has really been a big year for me, as far as figuring stuff out. This is almost like a full 180 from how I was. Yesterday - a year from yesterday - I was in jail."

Whilst change has been on the cards, Bieber added that he still wants to retain a youthful spirit:

"I want to always remain...to have that sense of purity inside of me where I don't...I don't want to lose that sense of purity."

The April issue of Men's Health will go on sale in the US from March 10.
