Justin Bieber says new songs will be about 'growing'

Justin Bieber says his new material will focus on personal growth.

The singer is a reformed man following a year out of the spotlight.

He was arrested for DUI in January 2014 and it was seemingly the final straw in a long line of moments of misbehaviour.

Speaking to USA Today, the Canadian said that his next album will feature themes of growth and evolution.

He revealed: "[The songs will be] about growing, being in touch with yourself.

"What can I say, it's life experiences, and knowing that you can and get back up and keep going. Hope and faith, that's what's gotten me through this too, my faith. What I believe in. You're around some people sometimes and it might taint what you believe. I think that's what happened with me, I lowered my beliefs."

The 21-year-old added that had to "re-do" an entire album as a result of his new outlook.
