Justin Bieber credits mother with ending 'stupid phase'

Justin Bieber says his mum helped him to stop his recent "stupid phase".

The singer seems to be a reformed man in 2015 after admitting that the last couple of years have been full of bad behaviour.

The 21-year-old was arrested for DUI in January last year and he also got embroiled in another police row involving his neighbours.

Speaking on Instagram on the US mother's day (May 10), the Canadian paid tribute to his 40-year-old mum Pattie Mallette for helping him through his tough times.

Writing alongside a picture of Mallette, the singer said: "This little 4'9 woman may not look like a mom but she is, and she's the best at it!

"This woman taught me everything I know, how to love how to be compassionate how to be strong when the only thing u wanna be is weak how to stand when all you want to do is fall. If it wasn't for this woman lets just say I would have had a way LONGER stupid phase. I love u and thank u for not giving up on me!"
