Justin Bieber: 'My new music is uplifting'

Canadian hitmaker Justin Bieber has opened up about his new music and confessed that it's very personal and 'different' from what fans might be used to hearing from him.

During a new pre-Wango Tango interview with KIIS 102.7, the heartthrob explained that the material he's working on at the moment is fulfilling and his heart is fully in it: "Overall I'm just really happy with the place I'm at, creatively."

When asked to describe the new music's sound, the superstar explained that it's club-appropriate: "Uplifting music that people are going to dance to... it's a little different. I'm using my voice in my music, rather than out here in the world. Not really talking a lot, just using my music for that."

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest in April, Bieber admitted that he has matured a lot and that has filtered over into his new lyrics: "The biggest difference is that I'm older. I was 17 when I recorded most of my last album and I'm 21 now. I've been through a lot in a public way, which gives me a much different perspective on things."
