Justin Bieber says he will give fans some "big" news this week.

The singer has been busy for a number of months working on new music.

Taking to Twitter on Monday (July 27), the 21-year-old told his followers to expect a major update from his camp.

Bieber posted to manager Scooter Braun: "Yep. Big announcement this week."

Fans have speculated that the music star may announce his next album or single.

The Canadian meanwhile is due to make a rare live appearance at Birmingham's Fusion Festival in August.

He will headline the event's main stage on August 28.

Bieber has largely been out of public music action for over a year after being charged with DUI in Florida in January 2014.
