Justin Bieber has landed a trio of new Teen Choice Awards nominations.

The singer has pocketed nods in the Social Media King, Choice Twit and Choice Instagrammer sections.

This means that the Canadian now has a total of eight nominations for the awards, which is taking place on August 16.

Other categories the 21-year-old will vie for include Choice Summer Music Star: Male, Choice Male Hottie, and Choice Music Single: Male Artist.

It's the latest sign that Bieber is getting his career back on track after experiencing a tough last few years as a result of his behaviour.

The singer recently announced plans to release his comeback single 'What Do You Mean' on August 28.
