Justin Bieber wants his album to help people understand who he really is

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber unveiled his new single today and has also shed a little light on his upcoming new record.

During a new interview with Ryan Seacrest, the heartthrob confessed that he wants to inspire and uplift people with his highly anticipated new album: “The album is really inspirational. Most of the songs are just uplifting and fun, and I wanted to use my platform in this point in my life to just reach as many people as I can in a positive way.”

He also opened up about the creative process behind his new record and added that he was very open about what he was going through every time he had a studio session: “So in the studio, we have talks about my direction or what I’m going through that week — real-life stuff. We’re not just writing about fictional stuff. I’m not guarded with the people in the studio. We’re really open."

"We’ll pull back in certain moments where I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s a little bit too much,’ or ‘That’s not enough.’ It all comes from a real place.” “I just told them like, ‘Listen, this a point in my life where I’m trying — not show people my true colors — but just have them try to understand the real me.’ I can talk about it in interviews and stuff, but what better way than to do it through my music and do it through something I really love doing and that I’m passionate about doing?”
