Justin Bieber tops the Australian singles chart for the first time

Justin Bieber has topped the Australian singles chart for the first time.

The Canadian recently released his comeback track 'What Do You Mean?' and it has been selling well.

On Friday (September 4) it saw the 21-year-old grab his first UK No.1 single.

Now Bieber has replicated that success in Australia.

The singer's previously highest ranking track in the country was 2010's 'Baby', which reached No.3.

The song is expected to feature on Bieber's forthcoming new album.

He meanwhile recently confirmed plans to perform on Sydney Harbour later this month.
