Justin Bieber on course for No.1 on UK singles chart midweek update

Justin Bieber is on course for a fifth week at No.1 on the UK singles chart.

On Friday (October 9) the singer's comeback track 'What Do You Mean?' topped the chart for a fourth week.

The Official Charts Company confirmed today (October 12) that it is still No.1 on their midweek update.

However, only 4,000 units separate Bieber's tune with the other top two singles.

R City's 'Locked Away' is No.2 while Naughty Boy's 'Runnin' (Lose It All)' is No.3.

At No.4 is Sam Smith's 'Writing On The Wall' and rounding off the top five is Jamie Lawson's 'Wasn't Expecting That'.

The highest new entry on the midweek update is The 1975's 'Love Me', which rests at No.7.

Olly Murs' 'Kiss Me' debuts at No.11, with 5 Seconds of Summer in at No.25 with 'Hey Everybody!'.
