Justin Bieber on when he last cried: 'The movie was depressing'

Justin Bieber says the last time he cried was when he watched a documentary about the late Amy Winehouse.

The singer told Alan Carr: Chatty Man that he checked out Asif Kapadia's new flick Amy on the way to the UK recently.

However, he found the documentary about the singer - who died in 2011 aged 27 from alcohol poisoning - hard to watch.

When asked when he last cried, Bieber said: "Probably watching the Amy Winehouse documentary on the way here. That got me.

"You know the ending and that whole movie was just depressing, but man, was she talented. Her voice was incredible."

Talking about when he got emotional on stage at this year's MTV VMAs in August, the 21-year old said:

"It was just a lot man. It was my first time performing on TV for like three years or something and I was really nervous and just wanted it to go well.

“I got a standing ovation and just to be accepted by my peers felt really nice.”
