Justin Bieber breaks US chart record held by the Beatles and Drake

Justin Bieber has made a new US chart record.

The singer this week has a total of 17 tracks on the country's Billboard Hot 100 list.

This is the most amount of songs one act has had on the chart at the same time since the Beatles and Drake both achieved 14.

The Beatles bagged 14 simultaneous hits in 1964, while Drake reached that number twice in March and October this year.

Thirteen of Bieber's chart tracks are new entries, having come off of his latest album 'Purpose'.

The record was released on November 13 and it quickly reached No.1 in the US.

It fought off competition from One Direction's 'Made in the A.M.', which was released on the same day.
