Justin Bieber tells fans to buy the NHS Choir's single: 'Do the right thing'

Canadian sensation Justin Bieber has taken to his official Twitter page to urge fans to buy the NHS Choir's single and make it the UK's No.1 for Christmas.

The race between Bieber's 'Love Yourself' and the NHS Choir's 'A Bridge Over You' is incredibly close although Bieber's song is currently in the lead. However, the heartthrob posted the following message to his social media page encouraging the public to support such a worthwhile cause:

"I'm hearing this UK Christmas race is close...but the @Choir_NHS single is for charity. So... so for 1 week it's ok not to be #1. Let's do the right thing & help them win. It's Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck. This is what it's all about. Merry Christmas."

Earlier today (December 23), NHS communications manager Joe Blunden told the Press Association: "I was a Bieber fan until this week. Cut out your Bieber fever just for this week and get behind the NHS. After Christmas you can get back to downloading and streaming Bieber... Put the NHS number in the charts (sic), and also number one on the agenda."

The winner of the UK Top 40 Christmas No.1 single will be announced on Christmas Day, December 25.
