Justin Bieber dethrones Adele at top of US singles chart

Justin Bieber has ended Adele's ten-week reign at the top of the US singles chart.

The singer's track 'Sorry' has risen from No.2 to claim this week's No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song had been placed in the second spot for a total of eight weeks before reaching No.1.

This means it is tied with OutKast's 'The Way You Move' for the longest-ever wait at No.2 before reaching gold.

Adele's smash hit 'Hello', which has spent ten weeks at No.1 in the States, has dropped to No.2.

At No.3 on the Hot 100 is Bieber again with 'Love Yourself'.

The 21-year-old is also dominating the UK singles chart, with the singer currently placed at No.1 and No.2.
