Justin Bieber breaks eight Guinness World Records

Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has broken a total of eight world records

When the new edition of the Guinness World Records book launches on September 8, the "Sorry" sensation will appear on its pages eight times thanks to his incredible achievements within the music industry.

He has broken the following records: Most streamed track on Spotify in one week, Most streamed album on Spotify in one week, First act to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on UK singles chart, Most simultaneous new entries in the Hot 100 by a solo artist, Most simultaneous tracks on the US singles chart, Most followers on twitter (male), Most subscribers on YouTube for a musician (male), and Most viewed music channel on YouTube (individual). 

Bieber kicked off BBC Radio 1's month-long Live Lounge special this week by performing an acoustic session that included a cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car".
