Justin Bieber ticket touts scam £1m out of Scottish fans

Scottish Justin Bieber fans lost out to the tune of £1 million ($1.2 million) as a result of ticket touts, according to an industry expert.

The singer recently performed three dates at Glasgow's Hydro arena as part of his Purpose tour.

Industry investigator Reg Walker, however, told the Daily Record that touts buying tickets and selling them at inflated prices scammed £1 million out of fans.

In some instances, tickets for the shows were selling for ten times the face value.

Walker said: "We are seeing an age of vultures and parasites who are bleeding industry dry and putting nothing back in.

"I have intelligence that Justin Bieber’s gigs at the Hydro came under notable attack from American touts in New Jersey, who established a supply line in Glasgow that made them a fortune.

"We are drawing close to the reality that no ordinary fan will be able to secure a ticket for a high demand event for face value. This is the greatest rock and roll swindle in history.”
