Teen sensation Justin Bieber needs to experience "relationship drama" in order to grow and be successful according to Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.Am. 

Will.i.Am, who is currently working on Bieber's new album with him, told Ryan Seacrest's 102.7 KIIS FM show that in order to enjoy longevity in the music industry he should expect "to fight":

"Justin as an artist has to fight. Michael Jackson fought, Prince fought, the ones that stood around for a long time are the ones that are always fighting for something."

"He's gonna hurt. He's going to go through relationship drama [and that will make him successful]."

"We know the ones that get comfortable and then their career is short, 'Oh I remember that one song he had, that was cool.'"
