Justin Bieber has a "great day" as he makes US chart record

Justin Bieber has expressed his joy at creating a new chart record in the US.

Yesterday (February 6), the Canadian became the first artist to achieve five No.1 albums in America before the age of 19.

He was previously tied with Miley Cyrus, who has had four No.1 albums before turning 19.

The record was created after his new album 'Believe Acoustic' topped the Billboard charts after selling 211,000 copies.

Taking to Twitter as he heard the news, Bieber said: "GREAT DAY".

The 'Boyfriend' star meanwhile is only one of ten artists in history to have four No.1 albums in four consecutive years in the US.

Bieber meanwhile is due to host and perform on iconic TV show Saturday Night Live this weekend (February 9). Watch Justin Bieber's SNL promo below:
