Justin Bieber to fly into space

Justin Bieber has signed up to fly into space, it has been revealed.

Virgin supremo Sir Richard Branson - who is creating the world's first commercial space flight company - announced the news on Twitter on Wednesday (June 5).

Bieber will take the out-of-this-world trip at some point in the future alongside manager Scooter Braun. Branson said:

"Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!"

The Canadian singer then replied: "Let's shoot a music video in SPACE!! #nextLEVEL."

The Mirror reports that wannabe astronauts can pay Virgin Galactic a deposit for $250,000 to secure their place on the company's first flights into space.

Their planes, which could start running next year, are set to travel past the boundary into space, where flightgoers will feel weightlessness and be able to view Earth in all its glory. Watch Justin Bieber perform live below:
