Kid Rock thinks Justin Bieber's fame will be short-lived

Veteran musician Kid Rock claims Canadian superstar Justin Bieber is heading for a spectacular fall from grace.

The 42-year-old singer has compared Bieber's career to that of Vanilla Ice, who had massive success with hit 'Ice Ice Baby' in the nineties before sinking into obscurity.

Kid Rock was asked his thoughts on the teenage heartthrob during an interview on Howard Stern's radio show this week and said: "Tell me if this is wrong. Justin Bieber... is 100 per cent like watching Vanilla Ice all over again. It's exactly the same. Well, as soon as Bieber has a hit, he'll be like Vanilla Ice.

He added: "The kid's young. He's got some money. He's got the world in his hands. It's just kind of sad to see him go down this trajectory. It's gonna be a very long ride down. We all know the story. I kind of feel for the kid, to be honest with you."

It's not the first time Kid Rock has discussed Bieber. The star insisted earlier this month that the international singer will eventually go off the rails if he's not careful.

Speaking to America's GQ magazine Kid Rock explained: ''It's just a matter of time before someone puts a huge line of cocaine in front of Bieber and he's going to be like, 'Yes! This is f**king awesome!'" Watch Justin Bieber surprise Cody Simpson on his tour here:
