Justin Bieber pays tribute to Metallica in new warm-up video

Justin Bieber has showed off a taste for heavy metal in a new warm-up video.

The Canadian star uploaded a clip of himself on Viddy playing with guitarist Dan Kanter backstage before a recent show.

They are seen running through the intro to Metallica's 1984 track 'Fade to Black', with Bieber singing the lead guitar solo.

It marks an interesting departure for the 'Believe' man, who is better known for pop and R&B.

Bieber meanwhile is currently two songs into his new Music Mondays project, which will see the singer unleash a new track each week until Christmas.

He has so far unveiled 'Heartbreaker' and 'All That Matters', with both tunes hitting No.1 in iTunes charts across the world.

The 19-year-old will then unleash new movie Believe 3D. Watch Bieber perform Metallica below:
