Russell Crowe defends Justin Bieber over graffiti

Russell Crowe has backed Justin Bieber in a row over graffiti.

The singer landed himself in hot water recently after spraying graffiti on an exterior wall of an Australian hotel.

Whilst the establishment was happy to have Bieber's tags on their property, the local council wants the singer to remove it.

They said: "The city has a zero tolerance approach to graffiti. The mayor will contact the hotel to say that if Justin Bieber does not want to use the free graffiti removal kit left with him, then the hotel is expected to use it. If not, we will send council compliance officers to ensure the mess is taken care of."

This has seemingly prompted New Zealand actor Russell Crowe to defend the embattled star, saying on Twitter:

"I like Beibers tagging. Tag on little brother. Tag the world."

It's not the first time Bieber has been in trouble over graffiti recently. The 'Believe' singer was recently charged by police after spraying paint on a disused wall in Brazil. Watch Bieber perform live below:
