Justin Timberlake to perform at Country Music Association Awards

Justin Timberlake has announced that he will be appearing at tonight’s Country Music Association Awards (November 4).

The ‘Mirrors’ singer will be sharing the stage alongside bluegrass musician Chris Stapleton.

Timberlake made his performance slot known via Twitter, telling his followers, “Honored to share the stage with this BADASS,” alongside a picture of the musical pair rehearsing together (see image below).

Chris Stapleton previously spoke about his plan to work with Justin Timberlake in a Rolling Stone Country interview:

“[Timberlake] is obviously one of the greatest musical talents in the world, maybe ever, that we have… He was so gracious and kind to want to do it and was so excited about it, and I’m excited about it.”

Speaking about tonight’s performance, Stapleton said: “It’ll be something I’ve never done before for sure.”

Chris Stapleton is nominated for three awards at the CMAs – New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year for ‘Traveller’.
