Justin Timberlake has revealed the release date of his next album.

As previously reported, it has long been mooted that the singer will follow up his 2013 comeback record 'The 20/20 Experience' with a second volume later this year.

In a photo on Instagram, the US star confirmed that he will unleash a new record on September 30.

The image saw Timberlake cutting music to tape in a recording studio, with a note on the mixing desk saying:

"The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2). Sept. 30th."

Timberlake meanwhile was recently announced as the host of this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball.

The massive event is due to take play at London's Wembley Stadium on June 9.
