Justin Timberlake has dismissed reports that he wants to play the role of the Riddler in the next Batman movie.

The singer and actor had recently been quoted as saying that he is game to play the iconic character in Batman vs Superman.

However, Timberlake told Capital FM at the Las Vegas premiere of his new film Runner, Runner that the Riddler rumours are untrue. He said:

"No, no, no, no, no, that was unfortunately taken out of context - fan boys rejoice! I have no aspirations [for that]."

Commenting meanwhile on the controversial appointment of Runner, Runner co-star Ben Affleck to the role of Batman, he said: "I'm excited for him. I think he's going to make a great Batman."
