Justin Timberlake lands at No.1 with 'The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2'

U.S. sensation Justin Timberlake has debuted at No.1 on the UK Top 40 official albums chart with his new offering, 'The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2', although he faces tough competition if he wants to secure the position.

Trailing just behind at No.2, and with only 700 copies separating them, are HAIM with their first full-length record, 'Days Are Gone'. The LA-based trio of sisters are hot on Timberlake's heels and with so few copies between them and Timberlake, the No.1 position could be awarded to either act when the chart is confirmed this coming Sunday (October 6).

Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience' enjoyed 3 weeks at the top spot earlier this year so if the second part secures the position it will give him a fourth consecutive UK No.1 album.

Alter Bridge are new in at No.4 with 'Fortress', Dizzee Rascal's 'The Fifth' has made an appearance at No.9, and there's another new entry at No.11 with 'Innocents' from Moby.
