Justin Timberlake: 'I won't give in to the pressures of fame and suffer from it'

Hollywood actor and superstar Justin Timberlake has spoken out about the success he has enjoyed since being a part of the Mickey Mouse Club and confessed that it has taken a lot not to get sucked in by it all.

During a new interview with Germany's Cosmopolitan magazine, the heartthrob explained that he manages to remain grounded by keeping his family and loved ones by his side as much as possible:

"By balancing it with real life. I spend a lot of time with my family. Many stars end up becoming slaves to their success. They think that now they've reached the top, they have to stay there. They fight like crazy for it and forget to enjoy life. I won't succumb to that pressure."

He also opened up about his contemporaries and how some of them have suffered breakdowns under the pressures of fame, and added that his career has always been for himself so that's why he thinks he has been able to stay away from the dark side of success:

"That never happened to me because I only ever did things I wanted to. The most important question you have to ask yourself in life is, 'Why am I doing this?' If the answer is, 'Because other people expect me to' or 'Because that's what my schedule tells me,' then you have a problem. If the answer is, 'Because I want to,' then it's all good."
