The couple are currently expecting their first child together, which is due this summer.

Kardashian and West have rarely been spotted out and about together throughout the star's pregnancy, and the brunette beauty has now explained why.

Speaking to Fabulous magazine she said: "I'm definitely more of a recluse since I was pregnant. But I haven't necessarily decided to hold myself back, it's just preparing myself for respecting the privacy of my child and my boyfriend.

Kardashian added: "We live different lives, but I love being open. That's who I've always been. That will never change because that is who I am."

The pair attended the prestigious Met Ball together this week, where West also performed.

Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow hardly gave the rapper rave reviews though - stating in an interview: “Kanye West was playing and he was all furious and he threw his microphone down and it was all drama. I don’t know why [he was mad].”

The producers, who have just finished work on their own new album ‘Random Access Memories’, teamed up with West for some new material which will feature on the West's upcoming sixth studio album.

Daft Punk told Rolling Stone:

“It was very raw. He was rapping - kind of screaming primally, actually. Kanye doesn't give a f**k. He's a good friend.”

They went on to say that they’d been given sneak previews of what West’s album has in store - and said:

“One of them, I told him it sounded solid and powerful - I envisioned a cube when I heard it. He told me, Chris Cunningham's already directing the video!”

Award-winning director, Chris Cunningham, is known for his deeply disturbing Aphex Twin videos, so his collaboration with West is a surprising one.

Kardashian filed for divorce from sports star Humphries in October 2011 following just 72 days of marriage.

Superstar rapper West and the reality TV beauty are currently expecting a child together, after dating for a few months.

Relatives of Humphries told British newspaper The Sun he is determined to get an annulment, as he is contesting that the high-profile nuptials were a ploy to boost ratings of Kardashian's reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

His Auntie Dedria said: “I had no idea who this woman was at first, I had to ask my hairdresser. She is impeccably groomed but it is a facade.

She added: “It was a sham. My understanding of marriage is people are going to give it more than 72 days unless there’s serious abuse. If I felt somebody had duped me and used me in front of the whole world, I would be very angry. An annulment says it wasn’t valid in the first place. She should admit that it was a sham at the very least.”

Humphries uncle added: “He’s a chump getting mixed up with her.”

The 'Stronger' rapper is disappointed after being voted seventh 'Hottest MC in the Game' by MTV's Hip-Hop Brain Trust.

West - who is currently expecting a child with reality TV beauty Kim Kardashian - thinks he would have ranked higher if it was just his musical ability considered.

Speaking to US radio station Hot 97's DJ Enuff, the star said: ''Yeah, number seven bothers me. To me, I feel like in order for them to put me as number seven, they had to bring up things they didn't like. They didn't like the 'Cruel Summer' album, and I'm like, 'That's just [a] compilation'.

He added: ''I don't know, it's definitely not based on a body of work. It possibly could just be like overall rap-MC-swag. What happens is, with these types of things... They don't like 'Givenchy Kanye,' they don't like Kanye in a kilt, they don't like Kanye in a relationship.''

West revealed his favourite rappers, citing Lil Wayne as the best around.

He added: ''Yeah, I just think him and [Jay-Z] and [Eminem] and certain people are just the greatest rappers of all time.''

The father-to-be had a pop at his friend's new song with Justin Timberlake, saying, "I got love for Hov, but I ain't f**king with that 'Suit & Tie.'" West also had a pop at corporations and the Grammys.

Jay-Z and Timberlake announced their North American 'Legends of the Summer' tour on Friday (February 22)

West and Jay-Z released their joint album, 'Watch The Throne' in 2011, and toured it from October 2011 until June 2012.

West plays a second show at the same venue tonight (February 24). He returns to the same venue on March 1.

The rapper previously announced a one-off show at London's Hammersmith Apollo on February 24, along with a date in Paris.

Naturally, the London gig sold out within minutes - prompting West to add a second date.

He will play the same venue a day earlier on February 23, with tickets going on sale today (February 15).

As previously reported, Kanye West's girlfriend Kim Kardashian has stated her impending child with West will be kept out of the public eye.

She said: "From the start, we're going to try to keep it as private as possible."

The 'Heartless' hitmaker will take the stage at London's Hammersmith Apollo on February 24 for a one-off concert before heading across the channel to Paris, France for another stand-alone show.

Radio 1's Zane Lowe broke the exciting news earlier this evening (February 13) by tweeting:

"KANYE WEST RETURNS TO THE EUROPEAN STAGE W. HIS SURROUND VISION SHOW AT LONDON'S HAMMERSMITH APOLLO & PARIS' LE ZENITH SUN 24 AND MON 25 FEB."

In an interview with US host Jimmy Kimmel to promote her TV series 'Kourtney & Kim Take Miami' with her older sister, the stunning star explained: "When the baby's old enough to decide if that's what they - he or she - wants to do, that'll be a decision.

She added: "It's hard, because I love seeing [Kourtney's kids] Mason and Penelope on TV. Mason is like the highlight of our show, I think. But from the start, for now, that's a personal choice Kanye and I have made ... From the start, we're going to try to keep it as private as possible."

Kardashian also revealed how thrilled West is about becoming a father.

She gushed: "He is really excited. It's really cute how excited he is."

Despite the couple looking super loved-up, West's former girlfriend Brooke Crittendon - who dated the star for two-and-a-half years - has doubts about their relationship.

Part of being untouchable is having what other people want. It’s about saying, ‘Everybody wants her and she wants me’. That makes sense in Kanye’s world.

She added: “I know he has had a thing with her for a while. I’m sure he watched her tape. After we broke up, we caught up as friends and he mentioned her, I knew something was there. In Hollywood, you cannot say ‘forever’. Them being together satisfies them for now. Having a baby ticks a box. She wanted kids and it’s his legacy.”

Crittendon also revealed the reason behind her split from West, adding: “I was very naive. I was a normal girl and in my life you meet a guy, you go on three dates and that’s your boyfriend. But he was a superstar and it got too much for me to handle. I was never OK being one of many — or even one of a few.

She continued: “There was a lot of attention from other women. Kanye was very open and honest but it ended up with me knowing too much. I don’t want to be silly and say it wasn’t cheating because I knew about it."

The pair have been dating since spring this year and today (December 31) a rep for the reality TV star had confirmed the pregnancy after West let slip on stage about the news.

Kardashian has now taken to her official website to post a picture of the happy couple together along with some of her thoughts on the baby.

The sultry star added that she is looking forward to 2013 when they will start their new family. Kardashian said:

"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby."

She continued: "We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mum and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!!"

The pair have been dating publicly since earlier this year and they have been the subject of baby rumours in the past.

However, West turned heads on Sunday night (December 30) whilst performing live in Atlantic City when he stopped the music as Kardashian looked on and said: "Make noise for my baby mama right here."

A rep for the reality TV beauty has since confirmed to the Daily Mail that the couple are indeed expecting their first child together.

Family of the mother-to-be have taken to Twitter to express their joy at the news, with sister Kourtney Kardashian tweeting: "Been wanting to shout from the rooftops with joy and now I can! Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!"

Khloe Kardashian meanwhile said: "Keeping secrets is hard with so many family members! Especially when you are so freaking excited!!!!! LOVE is everything!!!!"

According to Kim's younger brother Rob, the international rap star is attending Kris Jenner's annual Christmas Eve bash over the festive period.

Rob told E! News: "My mom has a really big Christmas party every year on Christmas Eve," Rob, 25, said. "We all sleep over at the house, and on Christmas morning we wake up at like 6 a.m. and do presents. They all make breakfast, all the girls. We watch basketball. It's a family day."

When asked if West would be joining in the celebrations, Kardashian smiled: "Of course!"

Kardashian and West have been in a relationship since April of this year, after being friends for a number of years.

The brunette beauty recently gushed about West saying: "It's so nice to have a best friend in this game who understands everything you're going through. Being with someone I've known for so many years is comforting.

She added: "I can't even think about being with anyone else than the man I'm with."

Fellow rapper Pusha T has collaborated with hip-hop heavyweights West and Pharrell Williams. While the 35-year-old reveals Williams relies on his intuition when coming up with a track, he says West turns to his technical ability.

In an interview with Le Black Et La Pume via You Heard That New he said:  “Both of these guys are perfectionists in their own right. Pharrell, I think he works a little bit off of feeling, and I think Kanye is a master of structure and a master of tapping in to knowing what people are going to react to and respond to.

"He’s really like a hit-maker and having that knowledge of what’s going on in America and…the world and exploiting that."

Pusha T also spoke about how differently the pair piece together a new track.

He explained: "Kanye West, a lot of times, he gives me the skeleton of a beat. He'll play either a sample or he'll play me like, just an idea and he'll ask me to write a verse to what I like in that idea…I'll lay that verse down on that part of the beat, and then he takes the record and creates around my verse, versus Pharrell, a lot of times, I'll go into the studio and he already has the beat, and then I lay a verse to the beat and it's a done deal."

According to Billboard.com, a complaint against the rapper has been filed by New Orleans’ pianist Eddie Bo’s Tuf America label after a portion of their artist's track, ‘Hook and Sling Part 1,’ was used on both 'Who Will Survive In America' and 'Lost In The World.'

Although West’s label Roc-A-Fella and parent company Universal Music Group paid a license fee of $62,500 for the rights to use the track on his fifth studio album, Tuf America argue that they failed and refused to confirm licence agreements that accounted for other uses of the sample.

The label, who sued the Beastie Boys for a similar copyright claim the day before Adam Yauch died of cancer, are now seeking an undisclosed amount for copyright infringement. 

The rapper posted a series of messages on the social networking website about whether it can be acceptable to use explicit language.

He asked his fans whether or not words such as b*tch are deemed okay to use if they are utilised in an "endearing" way. He said:

"I usually never tweet questions but I struggle with this so here goes... Is the word B*TCH acceptable. To be more specific, is it acceptable for a man to call a woman a b*tch even if it's endearing? Even typing it in question form it still feels harsh? Has hip hop conditioned us to accept this word? Do we love this word as much as we love the word N***A in an endearing way?"

He added: "Correction, here's the age old question, would we refer to our mothers as b*tches? Would we call our fathers n***ers or better yet N***AS?"
