Kanye West sentenced to two years probation for assaulting photographer

Kanye West has been given two years probation after pleading no contest in a battery case involving a photographer.

Paparazzo Daniel Ramos had accused the rapper of assaulting him at Los Angeles International Airport in July last year in an apparent unprovoked attack.

He alleges he still takes medication for injuries which resulted from the assault.

The BBC reports that West maintained his innocence but issued a plea of no contest, meaning that he has been landed with two years probation.

The rapper has also been given 250 hours of community service and an order to attend 24 anger management classes.

West was previously arrested in the same Los Angeles airport in 2008 after a scuffle with photographers.

On that instance, however, the US star paid for broken equipment and attended anger management classes.
