Kanye West has been confirmed to perform at this year's Time 100 Gala.

The event, which will be held in New York City, will celebrate the publication's recent list of the world's most influential people.

West appears on the list and he will take to the stage at Time's Gala event on April 21.

Tim McGraw, who also features on the rundown, will perform on the night too.

Other 'artists' who feature on the Time 100 list include Christopher Nolan, Julianne Moore and comedian Kevin Hart.

West meanwhile released his last album 'Yeezus' in 2013.

He is expected to unleash his latest effort 'So Help Me God' later this year.
