Glastonbury Festival boss received death threats after Kanye booking

Glastonbury's Emily Eavis has revealed that she received death threats after the festival booked Kanye West.

The rapper is one of the main headliners of this year's festival.

However, a petition was launched after the news broke expressing dismay with the booking.

It attracted over 133,000 signatures and Eavis told The Times that she even received death threats.

She said: "It was not a pleasant world we unwrapped. I had death threats and stuff. It was just horrible. It was just crazy.

"It was getting out of control. We had Time magazine, all the American news channels saying they were going to come down. This incredible onslaught worldwide.”
